Focus Groups
Focus groups are effective because they bring together the life's experience of each respondent from which they can comment, discuss and debate an issue. Any comment made by a member of the group is subject to the scrutiny of the other members such that it is likely to be confirmed (if thought to be correct) or critiqued (if thought to be atypical in some way).
Research for Results Ltd has a team of experienced moderators backed up by our in-house unit of telephone recruiters that ensure the correct respondents are recruited to the appropriate groups. We have conducted focus groups throughout Europe and the US with varying respondents from the decision making unit; from specifiers through to end users. The types of respondents we have researched range from CEO's and Financial Directors to Architects, Plumbers and Builders.
Focus groups are ideal for understanding the needs, motivations and prejudices of respondents. We also advocate focus groups as they allow client participation through viewing the groups which leads to a more valuable research outcome.
